Scarecrow TrailerWinner of the 2019 Narrative Musicbed Film ChallengeOn the edge of town in Texas, a gas station stands alone. Inside, a man known to the locals simply as, Scarecrow, runs the register. His day is flipped upside down when a girl, bloody and out of breath, asks for shelter in his station. Scarecrow's physical handicap and unusual scar along his head render him seemingly helpless, until he is forced to move heaven and earth to save the young woman.Director - Jake ViramontezWriter - Jason CarleyProducer - Jens JacobStarringMaggie - Sonya Balmores ChungScarecrow - Sam SturgesAgent Nolan - Brent BaileyAgent Ramirez - Garland ScottDirector of Photography - Lance KuhnsProduction Designer - Tyler HowardRonin/Camera Op - Neil Maciejewski1st AC - Austin Straub2nd AC - Johnny ClowardGaffer - Dyron PachecoKey Grip - Rob KeithGrip - Frederick CochranSwing - Logan McNaySwing - Junior PerieraHMU - Jill ClarkSound - Daniel StraubSet PA - Tony SalvagioEditor - Jake ViramontezSound Design - SamvanaColor - Daniel StraubVFX - Larry Chappell, Daniel StraubSpecial ThanksJacob PatrickUnderwood Family FarmsFour Aces Movie RanchJohn CarlFilm LAShot on RED

The Times - JFK UnsilencedThe greatest speech never made.On the 22nd of November 1963, on his way to deliver a speech at the Dallas Trade Mart, JFK, the voice of his generation, was silenced. But what if we could unsilence his voice?55 years later, Jerrie Smith, an attendee at the Dallas Trade Mart that fateful day, heard JFK, unsilenced.Client: The TimesAgency: RothcoDirector: Jake ViramontezExecutive Producer: Alan ByrnesCreative Director: Adam CraneCamera/Edit - Jake ViramontezMusic - "Carved in Mayhem" by Luke AttencioAwards: 7 Cannes Lions including a Grand Prix, 1 Gold, 3 Silver and 2 Bronze Lions7 Clio Awards including a Grand Prix, 4 Gold and 2 Silver2 Gold Pencils at The One Show3 D&AD Pencils3 The Drum DADI Awards including a Grand Prix1 Silver and 1 Bronze London International Advertising Awards (LIA)5 Lisbon International Advertising Awards including a Grand Prix, 1 Gold, 2 Silver and 1 Bronze2 Gold, 2 Silver and 1 Bronze Kinsale Shark Awards
Pepsi + LA ChargersA few weeks ago, I shot and directed a commercial for Pepsi and the LA Chargers. The story is about graphic designer Francisco Reyes Jr., aka Nevermade and his collaboration with the Chargers defensive team "The Jackboyz". Reyes came up with an unreal mandala design to set the team and the brand apart from all other merch in the game. Proud of this one.

Chevrolet GoalkeeperWinner of 5 Clio (Gold, Silver & Bronze)Chevrolet developed a new project called Goalkeepers. The initiative encourages young girls to get into sports, helping them to build the confidence, leadership, and teamwork skills they need to achieve their goals in life, whichever path they choose. The first phase of the program brought together 11 young female soccer players from all around the world, handpicked to be Manchester United mascots, in association with Chevrolet’s sponsorship of the club. The girls accompanied their footballing heroes onto the pitch at Old Trafford and trained with the team. Each mascot wore shirts representing their goal, from becoming an architect or engineer to inspiring people through art.
